REPORTS TO:              Director – Human Resources

SCOPE:                          The position will have responsibility for supporting company HR programs, policies, and procedures to include Employment, Compensation, Employee Relations, Training, and Benefits.


1.      Manages the plant hourly recruitment process such as interviewing job applicants, reference checking, Facebook/LinkedIn, and job offers, as well as oversee the employee orientation process.

  1. Coordinates hourly staffing with Plant Managers. Make recommendations concerning staffing levels and optimum staffing configurations both hourly & salaried. Ensures that staffing changes are in line with Company work rules.
  2. Responsible for the administration of group benefit plans including medical, drug, disability, workers’ compensation, 401(k), flexible benefit plan pension plan, etc. Ensures summary plan descriptions are kept current and responsible for the distribution of updated pages and mailings of summary annual reports.
  3. Develop and Implement HR policies, work rules and Employee Guide.
  4. Provides management group with information and advice on human resources’ procedures and policies.
  5. Communicates to management concerning employee problems, company policy, concerns, etc. and is involved with decision making on resolutions.
  6. Responsible for maintaining the wage and salary system for both management group and plant hourly employees.
  7. Initiates and administers wellness programs.
  8. Monitors Human Resource Department programs and activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  9. Manages return to work program including communication to employees, providers, etc. to get injured workers back to gainful employment.
  10. Responsible to ensure Human Resources documents are current, (Employee Information Guide, Permanent Posting Board, Corporate Operations Manual – Human Resources and Safety Section, etc.).
  11. Other duties as assigned.                 


  • A degree in Human Resources, business or a related field, Plus 2 years Human Resource related experience.
  • A strong commitment to the objectives of the company and the development and growth of the human resources of the company.
  • Experience in Presenting, Training and Persuading.
  • Excellent communication skills and above average math skills.
  • Good administrative skills such as record keeping and organizing.
  • Proficient in adapting to new computer software applications.
